SUMMER RECREATION

THE BOROUGH OF FAIRVIEW IS CURRENTLY HIRING FOR SUMMER RECREATION. YOU MUST RESIDE IN THE BOROUGH OF FAIRVIEW & BE AT LEAST 14 YEARS OF AGE. FOR THE APPLICATION CLICK HERE

THE SUMMER CAMP WILL BEGIN ON JUNE 29TH AND END ON AUGUST 11TH. THE FEE IS $75 FOR THE FIRST 2 CHILDREN & $50 FOR THE 3RD.  FOR THE APPLICATION, PLEASE CLICK HERE. SIGN- UPS WILL BE EVERY MONDAY – WEDNESDAY AT THE BOROUGH CLERK’S OFFICE, 3RD FLOOR FROM 6PM – 9PM, FRIDAY 6PM – 9PM & SATURDAY 10PM – 12PM.

Tax Assessor

The deadline to apply for property tax relief is February 28th, 2023. Eligible New Jersey homeowners and renters can receive up to $1,500. Don’t wait  — submit your application today! 

To be eligible for this benefit, you must have occupied your primary residence on October 1st, 2019. You must also file (or be exempt from) NJ income taxes.  

·  Homeowners with income of $250,000 or less are eligible 

·  Renters and tenants with income of $150,000 or less are eligible

Application assistance is available! For specific questions about the program and to see if you qualify, visit the ANCHOR FAQ page or call the ANCHOR Hotline at 1-888-238-1233 to speak to a representative. 

If you have already submitted your ANCHOR application, it is being processed and no further action is needed. You can find out the status of your application on the Division of Taxation website. Current ANCHOR program applicants are filing for the 2019 benefit and should select "2019" to check the status of their applications.

Checks will be mailed or direct deposited to successful applicants in late Spring 2023.

The Cliffside Park Housing Authority Senior Activity Center is a focal point of the community designed to enhance the quality of life for its senior population. While the center provides a nutritionally balanced lunch, informative lectures, and an array of classes and activities for independent adults 60 and older as well as their spouses to enjoy; it is also a hub of socialization offering a variety of daytime outings, party events and opportunities for volunteering.

One of our goals is to reach out to those in the community who have not yet discovered this wonderful center and make them a part of our family. The Cliffside Park Senior Activity Center supports and promotes diverse and inclusive communities, and does not discriminate based on age, color, creed, gender, gender identity, mental or physical disability, national origin, political affiliation, race, or sexual orientation in its provision of employment or services.

Transportation is available to those in the community who might need transportation to and from the center. All programs offered are free or at a reduced rate. The following are some of the activities available to you at the center; Informative Lectures, Nutritional & Medical Screenings, Exercise Classes, Line Dance Class, Zumba Gold Class, Chorus, Singing with Alan, Mahjong, ESL,  Art Class, , Bingo, Afternoon Tea ,Movie, Parties & Shows ,Shopping Excursions, Day & Over Night Trips, etc.
